Data Management. Master Data. Data Governance. Metadata. Data Quality.
Let’s face it. The data language we use can be hard to keep up with, even for those of us in the data community. The list of “data words” goes on and on, and it feels like there are new terms added every year. As data professionals, we may be able to communicate with each other effectively using this language, but these words simply won’t hit the mark when trying to communicate with most business leaders.
And, while we may firmly believe that our data management efforts will add tremendous value to our business leaders, the hard part is getting them to believe it too. If you’re struggling to get business buy-in for your data management efforts, it might be because you’re not speaking their language.
In this session, we’ll dig deeper into the language barrier that we often face when trying to drive data management initiatives, and you’ll learn practical techniques for bridging the gap.
